Expert Mediation and Mediation Training

A personal service tailored to meet your

individual needs

Sarah Crayford Brown - Mediator

I've been mediating for 20 years and I know that every conflict is as unique as the people involved and the circumstances that have led to it. My approach reflects this, taking one step at a time to ensure I find the right solution for you. My satisfaction is in helping individuals to understand what has led to their conflict and how they might move forward and change behaviour longer term to avoid future conflict. Usually I am successful.

I would also like to thank you very much for providing your services to us all.  And also for taking time out from the planned meetings to speak to me and give me the confidence to say what I really wanted to.’

Mediation

Mediation is a confidential, voluntary and informal way of resolving disputes using an independent third party (the mediator) to assist the parties to examine the causes behind their conflict and find a joint resolution.

A happy client:

‘I am very pleased to report that everything which was agreed between X and I in mediation has been adhered to by both of us.  We are developing a strong working relationship again, which in the long term will benefit many others.’

Mediation Training

I have been teaching others to mediate since 2013 and deliver well established mediation training programmes to a limited group size. I deliver these with Lizanne Keenan; we are both practicing workplace mediators and bring our experience and real case examples to our training. The training is Ofqual recognised and delivered in conjunction with OCN London .  Public and in-house training options available.

Next 'Workplace Mediator' programme is in Bath on:

10th/11th/12th & 17th/18th/19th March 2026

Next 'Mediation for Managers' Programme is in Bath on:10th & 11th March 2026

A happy delegate:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you most sincerely for the excellent course that you provided this week on mediation. I learnt so very much and am very grateful for the patient and wise manner in which you shared your expertise. The practical exercises, combined with your insights, really allowed a depth to the course which was much appreciated. The field is so important and I will be discussing it with colleagues further in the coming weeks.

Other Services and Support

Sometimes mediation is not appropriate or is only part of the solution. I also offer facilitated conversations, conflict coaching, and bespoke training focused on understanding how and when workplace conflict arises; how you can prevent it from doing so, and how to best manage it, should it arise.

A happy client:

Thank you ever so much Sarah. On behalf of the group, we have all come away from the training finding it really helpful and would highly recommend for any HR professionals or aspiring mediators to undertake.

From discussions we’ve had there are a few in the group that would be keen to explore doing the full qualification so watch this space we’ll be coming back to you.

10/10 you were amazing.

Experienced Team

I personally deliver the majority of my work - from the initial consultation with you through to its conclusion, including if there are any follow up services required.  But there are times when 'two heads are better than one' for example, with a group mediation and some of the training and I am delighted to be working with Lizanne Keenan in an associate relationship.

A happy delegate:

I’m really enjoying the course – you’re providing an excellent way for us to learn something that is quite complex and sensitive in a positive way, helping us to practice and learn from you and one another.  The role plays are great, because they are cases that we would have experienced before but without the benefit of being trained on mediation.
